X550 desktop virtualization kit

NComputing X550 (1PC Card / 5 Terminal)

Eleven users on one PC? Absolutely—today’s PCs are so powerful that the

vast majority of people use only a small fraction of their available computing
power. The X550 taps the unused capacity so that up to eleven users can
simultaneously share a single PC. Each user gets their own virtual workspace
(applications, settings, files, and preferences), but at a fraction of what it
would cost with individual computers. So even though eleven people share a
single system, they each get their own rich PC experience.
Easy to Install
Each X550 kit contains the powerful, award-winning vSpace™ desktop virtualization
software, a PCI card, and five XD2 access devices. Setup is easy: just
install the full-height PCI card and virtualization software on the shared PC.
Then connect the access devices to the PCI card with standard cables. Finally,
connect each user’s monitor, keyboard, and mouse to their access device.
That’s all – it’s as simple as an appliance. Now, six users can enjoy their own independent
virtual desktops (one on the shared PC and five on access devices).
Add a second X550 kit and eleven users can simultaneously share a single PC.
Powerful & Flexible
Software applications run simultaneously and independently on each virtual
desktop. Users don’t even know they are sharing a PC! And most applications
run right out of the box, so your staff and users don’t need special training.
They will also love getting their desk space back—the XD2 access devices are
tiny, silent, and have no moving parts. Yet they give each user a rich Windows
or Linux workspace. Users enjoy multimedia with sound and full-motion video
at screen resolutions of up to 1280x1024 or 1440x900 (widescreen).
Economical & Efficient
With the NComputing X550, you can easily lower your computing acquisition
and support costs by up to 70%. You will also save money on electricity—the
highly efficient X550 uses only 1 watt per added user (compared to 115 watts
for a typical PC). With a long useful life and weighing just a few ounces, the
NComputing solution also greatly reduces e-waste. It is clearly the greenest
computing solution on earth.
Key Features & Benefits
• Share one PC with eleven users
• Slash acquisition and support costs up to 70%
• Easy to set up, maintain & secure
• Compact and reliable (no fans or disks)

Western Cape memang bukan provinsi miskin. Namun ongkos Khanza luar biasa besar.
Untunglah, Khanza bertemu NComputing.
Ketika harga komputer turun drastis pada 1980-an, teknologi virtualisasi turun pamor.
NComputing X550 harganya US$ 460, atau Rp 5,52 juta. Berarti, setiap terminal hanya US$ 92 atau sekitar Rp 1,1 juta. Bandingkan jika harus membeli lima CPU. Kalau melongok ke toko komputer Internet Bhinneka, CPU dengan spesifikasi prosesor Intel Pentium Dual Core, memori 512 megabita, hard disk 80 gigabita, DVD-ROM, papan ketik, dan tetikus, harganya US$ 275 atau Rp 3,3 juta. Ini tiga kali harga satu terminal X550.
Konsumsi listrik NComputing jauh lebih kecil. Terminal X550 hanya butuh listrik 1 watt.
Janji serba irit NComputing lumayan manjur menarik peminat.
World of Warcraft—berhentilah bermimpi.
